Kansas City Chiefs State They Are Aware of Domestic Violence Claims Involving Player the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement on Wednesday evening indicating they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a ex-partner of wide receiver the athlete and were in communication with the NFL.
The organization omitted the name of Rice specifically in their statement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.
Claims Shared on Instagram
Dacoda Nichole Jones, who likewise did not name the athlete by name, posted a set of images on Instagram that seemed to depict signs of physical abuse. She did say the person involved was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs selected in the second round.

No police reports were on file in the Kansas City suburb where the incident is said to have taken place.
