The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
