Countless Join Pro-Palestinian Rallies as Organisers Pledge to Persist in Activism
A multitude have rallied in various Australian cities at pro-Palestinian protests, with coordinators promising to persist in activism after a peace arrangement facilitated by Donald Trump in Gaza seemed to be taking effect.
Sydney March Draws Large Crowd
In Sydney, the activist collective claimed 30,000 people had demonstrated from the public gardens to another city park in the downtown area after a scheduled protest to the famous building was banned by the New South Wales court of appeal recently.
NSW police approximated 8,000 people participated in the Sydney protest, with a spokesperson saying there had been "peaceful proceedings".
Countrywide Protests Commemorate Date
Demonstrations were also conducted in Melbourne, Queensland's capital and Western Australian city on Sunday to commemorate the ongoing situation after Hamas attacks on the date in 2023 resulted in approximately 1,200 deaths in the region.
"Regarding our cause, we'll certainly maintain to advocate for liberation... for autonomy in the territory, for support to reach and for locals to reconstruct their homes," said an activist.

Many protesters expressed hope that the truce might bring permanent peace. Several expressed concerns of Trump's involvement and called on activists to maintain pressure on the Australian government to impose restrictions and end the trade in military goods.
A participant, a local with Palestinian heritage based in Australia, expressed he desired the arrangement could permit him to bring his elderly mother, who is still in Gaza without medical attention, to his current home, and to find and bury his sibling, his wife and their kids, who have been unaccounted for since that year.
Jewish Community Conducts Service
In another development, many individuals joined a Jewish community commemoration on that night in Sydney's eastern suburbs to mark the second anniversary of the October attacks. A participant, the brother of Galit Carbone, an local resident who was killed during the attacks, was scheduled to speak.
